This this is a moment when principles and political independence matter a lot more than just the party line. And this is a man who has always been there to serve his country, not just his party.
And this is a moment that requires resolve and toughness and strength of heart in the American president. And my running mate is a man who has shown those qualities in the darkest of places and in the service of his country. A local anesthesia is given to the patient and then one of the various types of substances that can be injected are used. These substances include collagen, fat, artecoll, dermalogen, autologen, restylane, hylaform and fascia. With this choice of lip augmentation the patient will be able to go home on the same day. These injections are normally temporary and therefore to maintain the same look, one will have to continuously have the injection about every three to eight months.

With this method the plastic surgeon uses the patient’s skin and tissue from the mouth to enhance the lips. A more permanent type of surgery is by using synthetic materials to be inserted into the lips such as soft ePTFE, Gore Tex or SoftForm.
Normally the recovery of the patient is rather quick. There is often some swelling and soreness but this is temporary and leaves the bodies about 72 hours after the surgery is performed. Those patients who decide to have lip augmentation using the synthetic options will normally have a recovery rate of about two weeks.
Lip augmentation is definitely a popular cosmetic surgery that is reasonably priced. You just need to really research your plastic surgeon and decide if you want some dead persons tissue on your face or your own. Ah the price we pay for beauty to go from hopefully Daffy to desirable.

As I researched the celebrity culture, I thought of the words of the famous Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Man was born free, and everywhere he is in chains. I thought of the things that society deems necessary, acceptable, and I realized that everything is somehow linked to the celebrity culture resulting in binding individuality. The culture has taken our world by storm from fashion, drugs and alcohol to politics, and crime. I thought of the designer labels, expensive car commercials, and realized that behind all these successful products were celebrities that made these products more desirable to us. Because of the many positive and negative changes brought by the culture, we must look into how society has been impacted.
The celebrity culture now determines what we wear, drive, eat, and most importantly our image. Being decent is no longer a priority when choosing clothes because, at least 3 in four outfits picked out by young women are either too revealing in the bust area or they are just too tight(Reist). Women now struggle with self esteem because magazines and television commercials are continuously bashing full figured women. A size twelve woman is classified as overweight and unattractive resulting in many women not fully embracing their bodies because society wont accept them. Department stores are being raided by celebrity fashion lines and most of these lines do not cater for anything past a size 10 for example; Fabulosity by Kimora Lee Simmons, and Victorias Secret. The culture has created a society where division is visible even if one decides to ignore it. We now have stores that supply specific sizes leaving those that do not fit in the specified ranges feeling ashamed because they know that walking in that store is like walking in the hall of shame (Kingston).
Surgeons promote their companies by using celebrities in their advertisements; they show women how one celebrity went from being Petunia to Cinderella. On the other hand, young women are getting breast and butt implants because the celebrity world promotes skinny curvy bodies. It is sad because women are the ones mostly caught in this battle of achieve beauty, because men usually accept the way they are and move on. Teenage girls now take extreme measures to be like Kate Moss, and most of these practices result in both physical and emotional damage (Reist)12. People are no longer happy with their nose because they appear crooked therefore; they see the need to get them fixed. All this is creating a society full of unappreciative people. Being content with your body is no longer the message because in the glamour world, there is no room for imperfections.
As if image is not enough, marketers find it very convenient to use celebrities to advertise their products. Because we associate good things with celebrities, we jump on the band wagon to get these products even if they are useless. For example, young men find it very encouraging to use shaving cream used by their role models e.g. Michael Jordan, because they want to be like them or aspire to achieve the same things they did. Having simple kitchen utensils no longer guarantees satisfaction if its not by Rachel Ray or Wolfgang. The celebrity culture has invaded everything from our private spaces to the simplest things in life. In a capitalist nation where your money determines class we have people in huge debts because they are busy keeping up appearances when they shouldnt be spending money extravagantly. Certain places that used to be an embarrassment to be seen in are now seen as redeeming places for those with deeper problems.
Going to rehab for drug and alcohol abuse no longer appears a disgrace in fact, it is now considered a thing to do. Celebrities have been in and out of rehab coming out to the public, and encouraging people facing the same problems to go get help. It is interesting because society has now embraced rehab as a place of redemption instead of being a medical institution. Hollywood is an open place where people smoke Marijuana without feeling like they are violating any laws. Young people in the society are getting mixed messages about drugs and alcohol because, when a celebrity breaks the law they spend at least a night or nothing for violating laws therefore, young people think that they can get away with the same behaviors as well. Celebrity culture has even changed the way we think and act through music.
Songs can define the type of person you are and they can either make or break you just like everything else. We have young boys playing video games where the music is very violent and the game itself is pretty graphic resulting in these boys wanting to transform what they see on screen to real life. We have music that disrespects both genders and at a young age the culture is teaching young boys not to respect women and the same for girls. The celebrity has made all the wrongs look right and all the right wrong. Through the media, we are living in a society where celebrity obsession is now a common thing. Every channel on television has a reality show, and even shows that keep us updated with what the celebrities are doing.
People like Ryan Secrest, Perez Hilton, and Chelsea Lately have made money out of because we now want to follow up on the latest scoops from the celebrities. A study conducted by Psychology proffesors at Duke University showed that at of the 191 young people interviewed at least 65% of them knew who they would want to be for a day given the chance (Halpern). The girls in the research had an idea of how they would go about achieving this celebrity status, most of them said they would move to Las Vegas where there are more opportunities than stay in their small towns. On the other, this year were experiencing a different kind of presidential campaigning.
Just to prove how much the celebrity culture continues to impact society, we have Presidential candidate John McCain using Paris Hilton on his campaign ad, taking away time from focusing on very important things like the economy and health care.(Newsweek) We have Chuck Norris on the Huckabee campaign trail who stirred the whole campaigning system. It appears that we now care what the celebrities say for example; Oprah Winfrey. Obama gained at least a million votes after Oprah rooted for him, which goes to prove that we really take into consideration how celebrities feel (Stelter). The culture no longer promotes individualism because we are left to decide from what the celebrities consider right or wrong. It is drawing people from all ages away from leading normal lives where they can make decisions without worrying about being out of style or glamour.
We have got to stop the media from bombarding us with irrelevant shows that dont teach us anything. We must stop advertisers from promoting products using biased and adjusted celebrity images. We must try and stop the celebrity culture from conditioning society and promote individualism. In conclusion we must fight to make society a better place for children, teenagers, and young people for a better future.

There is a nineteent-year-old girl in Russia named Anna Ivanov who has regularly been told that she looks like Paris Hilton. Taking the news to heart, she has gone to a plastic surgeon with the request that she be made over specifically to look exactly like the socialite superstar. Additionally, there is some concern that the desire to look exactly like someone else reflects an emotional instability which makes plastic surgery unwise.
